Ahh, San Francisco. OK, I admit it, there are a few perks with my job. For me, driving into the city
on the Golden Gate Bridge is still a thrill - and there is no better culinary destination.
The Bay Area is one of the most diverse, eclectic metropolitan centers in the country. Visiting with
several of our customers here has reminded me how international our scope has become. This trip also
once again highlighted the unique challenges facing stores located in high density urban areas. The
smaller retail footprints that are a fact of life for large city locations prompted several discussions
on effective (and efficient) produce displays. While wining and dining at one of my favorite North
Beach restaurants, I also enjoyed a conversation on our mobile wine merchandisers. As a result,
this month's newsletter features information on both of these product lines.
Talk to you again soon, Michael Smith
